You really don’t need this page because of the extremely easy, intuitive nature
of the EZ Set® Timer. However, if you
are curious, or a detail oriented person, here is what you want to know.

Connecting the Timer
- The EZ Set® Timer works with both 6
and 12 volt systems. There are 3 pairs of wires coming from the timer.
- Connect the red wire to the positive BATTERY terminal and the black wire
to the negative terminal; wire connectors are installed on the harness.
- The Orange (positive) and White (negative) wires go to the MOTOR. Texas
Hunter feeders have matching plugs. A matching-plug pigtail is furnished
for use with other feeder brands.
- The Green (positive) and Black (Negative) wires are for a SOLAR PANEL,
if desired, if not do not use. Texas Hunter feeders have matching plugs
installed.
- The display stays on for 20 seconds of inactivity and then blanks out to
save power, it comes back on when MENU is touched.

FUNCTIONS |

The timer has only three buttons:
MENU is used to scroll through the following options or displays:
- Texas Hunter name and software version
- Battery condition
- Solar charging condition (if so equipped)
- Time of day
- Feed time and duration time by station
- Test run time set
- Test run count down
SELECT selects the hour, minutes or seconds to be set; the position
to be set blinks.
SET advances the selected item and sets it where you leave it

DETAILED SETTING INSTRUCTIONS
To SET TIME OF DAY press MENU until display reads “Time is:”
Press SELECT, the number in the hour position will blink
Press SET until the correct hour is displayed, including am or pm.
Press SELECT again, the number in the minute position will blink
Press SET until the correct minute is displayed
To SET FEED TIMES and DURATION press MENU until display reads “Feed1”
Press SELECT, the number in the hour position will blink
Press SET until your desired first feeding hour is displayed
Press SELECT, the number in the minutes position will blink
Press SET until your desired first feeding minutes are displayed
Press Select, the seconds position will blink
Press SET until your desired feeding duration for the first feeding
is displayed (1 to 60 seconds)
Press MENU to repeat the process for additional feedings up to 9 total.
To TURN A FEED TIME OFF
Press MENU until the target feed event is displayed (example: “FEED3”)
Press SELECT until the seconds position blinks
Press SET until the seconds position reads “OFF”
To TEST the system by triggering a feed event
Press MENU until the display reads “Test run for”
Press SELECT and the seconds position blinks
Press SET until the desired test run time is displayed
Press MENU to start the test sequence
The display will read “Push key to stop”
The display will count down for 10 seconds to allow you time to move
away from the feeder
(Be sure to move, high speed feed hurts and can be dangerous)
The unit will test run for the time period you set
Timer Features
- Reverse polarity protected, hooking it up backward will not damage it

- Feed time and duration settings are retained indefinitely even if the battery
is disconnected.
